Tampa, FL — The documentary “JFK in Tampa: the 50th Anniversary” is a unique compilation of rare film footage, speeches from President John F. Kennedy’s visit, photos, home movies and personal memories.

“It was a joyous day. Everyone got a chance to see him that wanted to,” said Lynn Marvin Dingfelder, the film’s producer.

Dingfelder says she got the idea about two years ago to preserve not just the historical facts, but people’s memories of Kennedy’s visit.

“Wonderful stories… I mean, that will just really capture your heart,” she said.

Kennedy became the first sitting president to visit Tampa.
